The work of the Commercial Property team
The team provides expert advice in many different areas of commercial property work and is often intimately involved with work carried on in other departments at the firm. It has an impressive and wide-ranging client base which incorporates charities, famous fashion brands, UK non-profit organisations, companies and wealthy individuals. The mix of work is fantastic too. In a typical day you might find yourself drafting and negotiating the clauses of a lease or licence in the morning and then working as part of a team on the purchase or development of a valuable property in Central London that afternoon.

My experience within the Commercial Real Estate team
I worked on a wide variety of matters during my time with the Team and was dealing with up to fifteen different files. Work ranged from drafting and negotiating licences for various business tenants to alter their premises, to helping with the purchase of a property for a large UK Charity, and also to assigning contracts for the purchase of a number of flats from an individual to an off-shore trust company. My day to day involvement in all of these matters consisted of managing the correspondence files, drafting the documents required and liaising directly with clients and solicitors for the other parties involved in the transactions. The level of responsibility I was given together with the broad mix of challenging work provided me with an excellent grounding in commercial property. I really felt like a valued member of the team.
