Training support
Mentor
As a Withers trainee, you will be assigned a Partner as a mentor. Your mentor will ensure that your training is tailored to your specific career aspirations and will give guidance on day-to-day issues through to advising you on potential areas in which to qualify.
Supervisor
You are assigned a seat supervisor for each seat, who will provide you with work and be responsible for providing on the job training and support. Your supervisor will monitor your performance and give you regular feedback on your progress. You will have two appraisals in each seat: a mid-seat and an end-seat where objectives are set, and evaluated.
Buddy
At the start of your training you will be assigned a second year trainee buddy. Your buddy is there to help you through those first few weeks when you are finding your feet.
Trainee
Starting out in your legal career can be a daunting experience. Our support system for trainees aims to guide and advise you ensuring you, make the most of your training, setting you up for a rewarding career in law.
HR Manager
Each Trainee is assigned an HR Manager who will follow your career progression throughout your training and after qualification. Your HR Manager will be present at each of your end of seat reviews.
Training Partner
Daniel Isaac is the Partner responsible for trainees at Withers. Daniel not only heads up the recruitment panel, but is also responsible for overseeing all aspects of our trainees' welfare and development from law school through to qualification.
