Your training contract
Join the law firm for success in Hong Kong
Our two-year Hong Kong training contract includes seats in private client and tax, corporate and family. You may also have the opportunity to undertake a six-month secondment in our London office or Singapore office.
All trainees are assigned a seat supervisor for each seat who is responsible for providing you with training and support. During each seat you will have two appraisals where objectives are set and evaluated. At the end of the two-year period you will be qualified in Hong Kong.
What can you expect from us?
Our Hong Kong trainees gain experience in three areas – private client and tax, corporate and family. More information on these teams is given below.
Trainees undertake several ‘soft skills’ courses such as presentation skills and negotiation. These are complemented by technical workshops (run specifically for trainees), where our lawyers ensure our trainees gain the technical knowledge necessary to contribute in their seats.
Trainees are also invited to attend the frequent training events for our qualified lawyers (often run on a global basis via video conferencing). All trainees are assigned a seat supervisor for each team.
